Maintenance & Tips

eGo, 510, 801, 901

Parts usually last 1-2 months. All eCigarettes are considered consumables; however, maintenance can prolong the life of your parts.

Atomizer - The juice in time usually a week or so gets thick in the atomizer from boiling and can clog it up. Similar to gravy on the stove, the longer it boils the thicker it gets. This happens with all ecigarettes. This procedure can also be used if you just received your kit or new parts as the manufacturer has primer juice in the atomizer and it can have a taste that might not be that pleasant. It can dry, in turn clog the atomizer, make it appear that it does not work or cause a hard pull. Do not insert tissue or paper towel into the atomizer itself, as it can get nagged up on the coil and in turn burn. Take and put 1-2 drops of juice in the open end and blow it out to where it comes out the connection end and wipe dry. Then add two more drops and lay it on its side for a minute. Put on a freshly topped off cartridge and take a couple quick short pulls to pull the juice through the atomizer again. Then vape like normal. If this doesn't help:

Cartridges- Also the juice gets thick in the cartridge fiber around the same time. This can cause the juice in the fiber to not flow properly, which in turn can cause less vapor. So once every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks I do the above with the atty, and if you are still having problems getting vapor, you also can carefully rinse out the fiber and dry with a paper towel, fill the cart half full, put dry fiber back in and top off until slushy. Put back together and take a couple short, quick vapes to re-prime the atty and then vape like normal. This should open it up for you. If one doesn?t want to clean the fiber out, then you can just use a new cartridge. Also about every 4th top off, take a toothpick and pull the fiber to the top of the cartridge as it gets indented from the atomizer coil in time. This can get packed down and not allow the juice to fill the cartridge all the way. If you pull it up slightly, you will see the cartridge will take more juice and you'll get a full cartridge.

Batteries 510/eGo - Always important to keep all connection ends of the battery and atomizer dry. With the 510 or Ego batteries, using a qtip or Kleenex and cleaning out the closed connection end makes a difference in charge and vape. It there is any juice puddled or dried in the battery, it will cause a lack of proper connection to the atomizer/charger. This will cause you to automatically draw harder to get it to work and can be harder on the atomizer. It also can in turn, can dump too much juice into the atomizer, causing the atomizer to get hot, leak or no vapor.

A qtip to clean out the connection ends; especially around the threads is the easiest. Once every two weeks, take an alcohol dipped qtip and thoroughly wipe out the battery connection end to remove any dried juice. If you have been noticing your batteries are not holding a charge like they used to, they probably need cleaned. Also take a dry cloth to clean the charger connection.

The eGo battery has a 5 click safety feature that usually comes in the off position. If you have trouble getting your battery to vape or it is flashing, hit the button 5 times FAST to turn off or on to reset it. Recharge the battery. This could get it working for you.

The 801 and 901 Cartridge and Atomizer cleaning are explained above. The 801 and 901 are known for needing to take long, slow vapes to get the best vapor. Also the best vapor is obtained after a day or so of the atomizer breaking in.

The 801 and 901 batteries have that open hole that can get eliquid in it. It can cause it to not work properly, and cause less vapor or lack of charge, especially if the battery is continuously flashing while charging is a sure sign it has juice in it. To help prevent this, try and keep connection ends dry on the atomizer and batteries wiping with a kleenex. This is especially important when putting into the charger. If the battery is not working properly, try and see if this helps, take and blow lightly away from your mouth towards the connection end hole and then wipe dry. Also tap the LED end of the battery lightly two times on a hard surface. There is a switch in there that can get stuck. This will help release it. Also wipe out the charge block hole with a qtip in case the there is dried juice. If that doesnt help, sounds strange, but try this. There are two small slits where the LED end and the battery meet. Cover one with your finger and blow into the other one (opposite side, hard to see) until it lights up. Repeat, wipe off all connection ends and put back in charger and see if the light turns red for you and let it charge until green.

Ego-T Tank and 510-T Tank System

How it Works

The atomizer has a prong inside it that punctures the empty cartridge that you fill. When you insert the filled cartridge into the atomizer, eliquid slowly drips into the atomizer at just the right amount. The benefit with the tank system is that it's low maintenance. You fill the cartridge, pop it in the atomizer and you don't have to mess with it until the cartridge is almost empty. The cartridge is clear, so you can see the liquid.

Filling the Cartridge

Push the empty tank cartridge entirely into the atomizer to open the hole in the bottom, if it isnt pre-punched already. Remove the cartridge. It can be filled 3 different ways. The easiest is to take our bottle of juice and set the hole of the tip of our bottle flush down over and touching the hole you just made in the cartridge, gently squeeze the bottle. It will fill the cartridge. You also can fill by popping the cap off or fill with a needle tip bottle or syringe. Then look inside the tank atomizer, there is a metal plate under the point. You will see the metal plate has two sides that have flat edges, both opposite of each other, as in 3:00 and 9:00 on a clock. Then on the cartridge you will see two flat sides. Make sure the battery connection end is facing down, South. Next screw the atomizer onto the battery and then insert the filled cartridge upward into the atomizer aligning the flat sides of the cartridge with the straight edges of the metal plate. (It is not required to align with the flat sides, but will help for better wicking.)

The cartridge eliquid will drip down into the atomizer through that point. Youre ready to vape. The T Tank system works best when you take easy slow draws, over quick hard pulls. Just refill the cartridge right before its empty so that the atomizer is sure to stay wet.

Charging Battery/Cleaning

Charging should be at least 8 hours prior to use on the 510 T Tank unit. The eGo T battery is charged when you receive it. When the initial charged is used up, charge until the light turns green approx. 3 hrs. Keep the battery connections dry as any juice puddled or dried in the battery will cause a lack of proper connection to the atomizer/charger. This will cause you to automatically draw harder to get it to work and is hard on the atomizer. This is turn can dump too much juice into the atomizer, causing the atomizer to get hot, leak or no vapor.

If You Have Leaking

If juice is getting into the mouthpiece taking short break in between vapes will help this along with the easy slow draws. Also make sure to not turn the cartridge around while in the atomizer. It can make the hole bigger and dump the juice into the atomizer and cause leaking.

Some prefer to punch the hole first in the cartridge by inserting into the atomizer and remove, then fill the cartridge with a syringe or our needle tip bottle. After popping the cap off repeatedly to fill, it can weaken the seal in the cartridge where the cap and cartridge meet and leave a gap, which could cause leaking. Also make sure you are hitting the button prior to drawing on the tank.

Cleaning

To clean the T tank atomizer, take and add 1-2 drops of juice directly above the point and blow into open end, easy and slow to where the juice just oozes out the connection end. Then dry off connection end thoroughly. If you blow too hard, one can blow the wick right out of the point and the atomizer will fail and dump the juice/no vapor.

eGo Vision Clearomizers

How to Fill

Unscrew the mouthpiece from the clearomizer. Fill the clearomizer with about 1.6 ml e-liquid or just below the bottom part of white inner plug by the top of the threads using a standard drip-tip bottle, being careful to avoid dripping fluid into the center air-flow chamber. Screw the mouthpiece back on, attach to a battery, and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the wick to soak up the eliquid. Youre ready to vape! If you find you are not getting any vapor, dry vape a couple of times, which means vape without hitting the button. This will help the eliquid to soak into the wick. You can also see how to fill these in our video section.

PLEASE NOTE: Make sure not to screw the mouth tip on too tight; just until it stops. It will put too much pressure on the white plug and smash it down, cause the plug to bow out and change shape. It turn; pressure builds up and forces the juice into the battery. Make sure to not overfill. Fill to the maximum line of 1.6 mL or just below the bottom of the white inner plug by the top of the threads.

If You Have Leaking

The Vision normally will not cause you a problem with leaking. However, if you find it is, these are possible reasons it could be happening.

If while filling, eliquid does get down the center hole, it will end up in the battery and appear as though the vision is leaking.  Just remove the vision from the battery, blow into the mouthpiece of the vision, with the connection end in a tissue, and it will shoot the excess juice out of that center hole. Wipe the connection end of the vision dry.  Then wipe out the connection end of the battery and your good to go!

Avoid exposing the vision to hot heat, like in the car all day, or even in pants pockets for a long period of time. The extreme heat at times has known to damage the seals that prevent leaking.

Also screw the battery on just until it stops and snug, but not too tight in order to allow for air flow. Make sure to fill only to the line or just below the bottom part of white inner plug by the top of the threads. Make sure not to screw the mouth tip on too tight; just until it stops. It will put too much pressure on the white plug and smash it down, cause the plug to bow out and change shape. It turn; pressure builds up and forces the juice into the battery.

Cleaning

Vision clearomizers are considered disposable, however you can rinse them out as described to help get possibly a few more refills out of them. If the juice starts to get thick, not as much vapor or a burnt taste, when the clearomizer is empty, remove the mouthpiece, fill it 1/2 full of warm water, cover the hole and shake it several times to rinse the threads. Empty and repeat 3-4 times. These snap it, opening end down like a thermometer to get the water out of it and then blow through the open end to help remove excess water. Dry the connection ends well. Let it air dry for 1-2 days for best results.

Then before filling put the mouthpiece back on and blow into the empty vision to insure any excess water is removed. Remove the mouthpiece, fill back up to the preferred line or just below the bottom part of white inner plug by the top of the threads, replace mouthpiece and youre ready to go.

Keep in mind it might take a little longer for the vapor to start coming through, as several harder vapes will be needed to help re-prime the vision after being cleaned. Important: Keep an eye on the battery connection end, wiping it out with a qtip to make sure there is no water still leaking into it. Results after cleaning are not guaranteed and at your own risk.
